First: what gets leaders most worried isn’t budgets. Or the market. Or AI. Instead, they’re most worried about internal issues: talent gaps, unreliable metrics, badly-designed incentives. These problems cost teams 6-15% of revenue, and were consistently named as the biggest threats to growth.
Second: leaders say most teams know about these problems. But most also aren’t doing anything about them. A full 92% of leaders named internal friction as a top threat. But only 21% say they’re acting on it.
