John Brand is a national award-winning healthcare communications executive whose experience includes media and public relations, internal communications, marketing and branding, and crisis management. He is an advocate for creating disruptive strategies to traditional approaches to place greater value on communications in the healthcare space. As Chief Communications Officer at Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, based in Philadelphia, John is leading a vision to disrupt traditional local and regional media relations and alter the deployment of internal communications to be more reflective of how people across the world consume news and information. Across his 20-year career, he has won more than a dozen national and regional awards that have included 40 Under 40 honors, Aster advertising awards, recognition for innovative digital engagement projects and public relations/writing awards.
