About Carl Cahill

Carl has over 20 years of experience in the information security field, leading teams and organizations in developing effective cyber defense strategies, policies, and solutions. He ensures the security and resilience of the IT and data systems for one of the largest food retailers in the world. Carl is the former Chief Information Security Officer for Ahold Delhaize’s operations in Europe and has also served as the Chief Information Security Officer at WPS Health Insurance. He is a Georgetown alumnus with a master’s degree in Technology Management.

Carl’s core competencies include organizational leadership, cyber defense, cybersecurity, cloud computing, compliance, and innovation. He is passionate about coaching and mentoring his team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning, and collaborating with the executive team to align the security vision and objectives with the business goals and priorities. He is also technically savvy and adept at leveraging the latest technologies and frameworks to enhance the security posture and performance of the organization.
