What’s New with Amazon?

If there is one company innovating every month (or even every week), it’s Amazon. Just last week, the company announced a self-service loyalty program called Amazon Moments. This will be featured in more than 100 countries and available all types of devices. The goal of the service is to make the e-commerce experience easy – and Amazon is doing just that.

What is Amazon Moments?

The tool allows you to deliver both physical and digital items to customers as well as increase engagement by giving out rewards which are custom your audience. When users reach certain actions in your app or on your website, they get rewarded. Easy as that.

How Does This All Work?

When a marketer determines a set goal they want users to reach, a budget for the campaign is then set. Amazon creates a rewards landing page and marketers put their rewards link into an API. Amazon Moments also operates on a cost-per-action model. Marketers only pay when action is taken by a user.

“Really, marketers just need to go through, identify the right action inside of their app or website, choose their reward and figure out what budget they have to get them positive ROI.” Amir Kabbara, Amazon Head of Digital Marketing

Amazon Moments has the demand of the consumer in mind. For example, a user can watch several episodes of a TV show or sign up for a subscription service and get a physical gift for doing so.

Who is using it?

The pilot program was utilized by major companies like USA Today, TikTok, Sony Crackle, and Sesame Workshop but since it’s still so new, we’ll need to keep an eye out for organizations that will use the marketing tool.

Net net is, the loyalty program game has officially been changed.
