Last week, The Millennium Alliance held the first series of the DET and FSI assemblies of the year to massive success. From June 14th to the 15th, The DET and FSI Transformational Assembly brought together C-Level executives from all walks of digital enterprise and financial services to an intimate setting in one of the finest hotels in Miami, sending the middle of June into the middle of the age of digital transformation. Surrounded by stunning water and city views, the Mandarin Oriental in Miami brought the essence of Five-Star luxury to Brickell Key and offered guests an immersive journey into Miami’s urban oasis, all while providing a beautiful and grand space for our attendees and team to take advantage of during our event. In only two days, our assembly opened up the floor for conversation, created networking opportunities, inspired collaboration over cocktails, and launched each attendee into the future of digital enterprise and finance as we steamrolled right into the beginning of summer.
What’s in it for the Digital Enterprise and Financial Leader?
If you were there or if you were not there, one of the best aspects of our event was our collaborative content. With content curated to the needs, wants, and desires of the attendees, we delivered an agenda that covered each trend from the industry, with topics ranging from “Disruptive Technologies: A Shift to a New Era” to “From Idea to Reality: AI and Machine Learning Affecting Our Everyday Lives”.
However, one of the best highlights from the event was the intriguing keynote delivered by Stephen Jurczyk, the Associate Administrator to NASA. Previously the Director at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA, Mr. Jurczyk became the agency’s highest-ranking civil servant position on March 10, 2018. In this position he formulates and executes the agency’s Space Technology programs, focusing on developing and demonstrating transformative technologies for human and robotic exploration of the solar system in partnership with industry and academia.
“We are absoultely going to invest in disruptive technologies like AI, otherwise human exploration in the future will not be affordable or safe.” – Stephen Jurczyk commenting on the most important technologies in the industry that are impacting business on all levels.
Mr. Jurczyk brought one of the most interesting and captivating keynotes to an enthusiastic and eager audience, who were on the edge of their seats the entire time he was speaking. By weaving not only her expertise but also leadership, humility, and humor into his keynote address, Mr. Jurczyk detailed his career in NASA and offered us an insight in the what it takes to be successful in technology in this day and age, and how technology ties into not only space exploration, but into the future of business. Not only did Mr. Jurczyk left all of us wanting more, but it was wonderful to send off on a successful first day at our event.
The impact of the content was noticeable; each executive that attended enjoyed each presentation and was happily participating in each discussion that they were scheduled to be a part of. Moreover, each meeting between our attending sponsors and delegates was not only successful, it provided long-lasting networking opportunities for each individual or company that they met with.
“Change is going to be uncomfortable, but it is good for you.” – Lisa Kerns, CIO of Fareway Stores, on the impact of Women in IT and what it takes to diversify the landscape.
Overall, our content and speakers are what makes our events so popular and worthy of attending for a digital enterprise and financial in today’s age of digitization in the space. Digital enterprise and financial executives need to plan for worst-case scenarios, stay ahead of latest transformative technologies, and maintain their company’s competitive advantage without losing sight of what is important in the industry today. Through attending our DET and FSI Transformation Assembly, it was very easy to see that each executive that attended was able to learn new initiatives and strategies to take back to their organization this summer.
You Had to be There…
Our DET and FSI Transformation Assembly surpassed everyone’s expectations and Mandarin Oriental provided a space that allowed for connections to be made around every corner while providing a space for open learning and the sharing of knowledge. Furthermore, the generosity of the Mandarin Oriental really made an impact on our event. By providing all of us with a delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner over the course of 2 days along with a wonderful cocktail reception, both the attendees and staff enjoyed our assembly even further and contentedly awaited each session or meeting due to the attentiveness of the staff.
Moreover, the content that was selected for this assembly was carefully planned and aimed to suit the needs of every individual that attended. Without our great content and our great speakers to present it, we would not have had such a successful and worthwhile event. For that, we offer a huge thank you to the leaders and masterminds behind each session, and for teaching all of us something new in the age of digital transformation.
All in all, our assembly in Miami would not have been possible without every attendee, Millennium Alliance staff, and the Mandarin Oriental staff. Everyone was very prepared and delivered a fantastic assembly to kick off the summer. Again, thank you to everyone who participated: It was an amazing experience to be a part of the DET and FSI Transformation Assembly in Miami last week, and we hope to see you November 8-9th for the next edition of the DET and FAI Assembly in Charlotte, NC!
