Endpoint Security Attacks Are Rising

CIODive released a report this week uncovered from Ponemon Institute that reveals how much endpoint security risks are rising. These threats are coming in the form of fileless attacks, which are said to be more succsesful than attacks that have files attached to them.

“Close to 30% of cyberattacks in 2017 were fileless, a 20% increase from the year before, and this number is expected to rise to 35% next year.” CIO Dive reports

Apple Will Release HomePod Later Than Expected

Apple announced today that the release date of the HomePod will be released later due to the tech tool needing more time to develop.  The HomePod is Apple’s newest wireless speaker that was supposed to be the perfect holiday gift. Now, it will be released in early 2018. It will be $350 dollars, offering Siri componets that will compete with Amazon’s Assitant.



Subaru Rolling Out Multi-Channel Campaign

Subaru will be releasing its 10th annual “Share the Love” promotion that will be featured on 30 and 60 second TV spots as well as broadcasted on social media and morning talk shows. The campaign will feature real people who discuss how Subaru has been so influential, and the point is that they are real people and not actors.

Kmart Creates Game Show

Kmart is releasing a new campaign that involves a game show, allowing customers to be a part of “Ridiculous Cash Bash” which will be aired on the Game Show Network. This is part of the holiday marketing campaign. It will center anyone over 18 who wants to show off a rare talent.


Toys R Us Goes Bankrupt

Toys R Us has announced bankrupcy this week, causing a stir in the retail industry, The filing reported that the bankruptcy court will be overseeing its Chapter 11 proceedings that will allow payments to top exectuvies.

“The timing of all of this could not have been worse, as the company is in the process of building holiday inventory,” Toys R Us CEO Dave Brandon said in the bankruptcy filing, adding that Toys R Us generates 40% of its annual revenue in the weeks before Christmas.” RetailDive reports 

Lululemon Debuts New Line

Lululemon has announced this week that the athletic based retailer will launch new shoes, partnering with Athletic Propulsion Labs, exclusive to Lululemon. This comes as no surprise after Lululemon debuted new sneakers in August.


Anthem Fined $5 Million

Anthem Blue Cross was fined this week by The California Department of Managed Health Care due to “systemic grievance system violations” due to a pattern of practicing and failing to identify and resolve enrollees’ grievances.

“The DMHC said the fine comes after deficiencies were found in DMHC surveys and “245 specific grievance system violations identified by the DMHC Help Line” between 2013 and 2016.” Healthcare Dive reports.
